I had an experience recently which kind of shocked me and I wanted to tell you about it.

I was surfing the web, and I noticed a banner ad on the side of the webpage - but it was for an RC helicoptor I had recently purchased (man are those things fun!)

I thought, "How weird! What a coincidence!"

Then I began to notice, no matter where I go on the web - YouTube, a random website - the ads reflect products I have purchased or browsed!

These ads are not only annoying for the sheer concept of it all - ads personalized to ME - but they also catch my eye because, hey, these ARE items I have had an interest in!

Did you ever see the movie Minority Report with Tom Cruise? In that movie, as Tom walks along, the billboards and ads near him all call out to him by name!

Folks, we are at that point NOW! I can say definitively, "Big Brother is here!"

For those unfamiliar with the term, "Big Brother" is the pseudonym George Orwell gave to a government gone rogue in his eerily prescient novel 1984.

In the book, government surveils every aspect of everyone's lives, and controls it down to the tiniest detail. It is worth a read if only for the crazy similarities we are seeing in today's society.

It is time for us to truly ask ourselves, do we want a country where government thinks it knows best and tries to solve all our problems?

There was a brothel in Nevada that broke some laws, and the government took it over. It quickly went out of business.

If the government can't run a business selling sex and booze to the sex-starved and the drunks, can we trust it with anything?
