Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone wanted to weigh in on the new training options coming out. At a large training facility that shall remain nameless, I discovered that training is now occurring via the 'net, with live intructors.
The way this almost bizarre training works is, the instructor teaches in front of a camera while students in a remote location watch him/her and follow along. The instructor has the ability to view any of the students' computers, and also take over their mouse and computer to assist them at any time.
Reminds me of a cartoon I saw once where all the students showed up for a lecture, and instead of a professor, there was a tape player playing back the lecture. At the next class meeting, the professor showed up but in place of the students were tape recorders...what is this all coming to?
If you've had any experience with this, please chime in and let us know your thoughts/ feelings. Did you/do you like it, is it effective, and would you recommend it?
